For 12 years, the municipality of Heusden and housing corporation Woonveste built the Geerpark neighbourhood: a sustainable district in Vlijmen, located in the Brabant municipality of Heusden.
Efforts were made on zero-measurement housing, water storage and sustainable materials for public spaces.
The choice of street lighting also had to be sustainable, so Innolumis' Nicole luminaires, among others, were chosen for the main roads of this district.
These luminaires last a long time, are constructed of sustainable materials and can be completely recycled after the end of their service life.
Meanwhile, the final touches are being made in the neighbourhood, so that soon all future residents can move into the area. Langstraat Media took a look at the new, sustainable neighbourhood.
