Colourful street lighting in the municipality of Oss

13 November 2025

The municipality of Oss was one of the first Dutch municipalities to start applying our innovative street lighting since Innolumis was founded in 2008. Convinced of the special properties of lighting developed on the basis of RGB technology, the application of various Innolumis light colours was put to great use.

In a short time, many outdated street lights were replaced by Innolumis luminaires equipped with different light colours such as initially Golden Green and Moonlight.

Due to the steady growth of new light colours that were developed by Innolumis in response to requests from the public lighting market, public lighting also became increasingly diverse in Oss and the surrounding area.

Over the years, the streets were given light colours such as White Moonlight, Golden Orange, 3000 or 4000 Kelvin, depending on the location. The through roads or canals were provided with the light colour White Moonlight or 3000 Kelvin and the outskirts with the light colour Golden Green.

Just recently, the former provincial road N329, now partly managed by the municipality of Oss, was fitted with the bright and efficient light colour 4000 Kelvin.

Special here is that the same luminaire family could be used each time, but with a different light colour each time. Thus, the Mini Nicole, the Nicole and the Maxi Nicole can all be found within the municipal boundaries.

By applying this zoning in light colour across the entire territory of the municipality of Oss (now the 3rd largest municipality in the province of North Brabant in terms of surface area), it has become clearer to road users where they are.

In these 17 years that Innolumis LED luminaires were applied, a great deal of energy and maintenance costs were saved because the four-yearly lamp replacement could be omitted. The costs saved were then further invested in new public lighting so that an acceleration in the application of energy-efficient LED lighting could be realised.

We thank the lighting professionals working at the municipality of Oss and Konings Verlichtingstechniek for their confidence in the company and product and together we will continue on our journey towards an increasingly sustainable lighting future for the municipality of Oss.
