Traffic on the arterial roads from Tilburg has become increasingly busy in recent years. So too on the former provincial road N630 from Tilburg to Turnhout in Belgium, also known as the Turnhoutsebaan.
This road was transferred from the province of North Brabant to the municipality of Goirle several years ago. Along this road there was still a lot of outdated sodium lighting, which was replaced in phases by LED lighting from Innolumis.
At the junction of Rillaersebaan with Turnhoutsebaan, a large turbo roundabout was planned but due to lack of space, a junction equipped with traffic lights was then chosen.
In order to have as few obstacles as possible along this junction, 4 large arc masts fitted with the Innolumis Maxi Nicole luminaire were chosen for its lighting. By choosing this arrangement, the entire intersection is lit from above with an even and safe light pattern for the many daily users of this busy intersection on the outskirts of Goirle.
