The GreenPortBikeWay is an express bicycle route running from Venlo to Horst v.v. In this way, bicycle use is encouraged and car use curbed. Cyclists can get to their destinations quickly without obstacles and without having to give way en route.
About 150 wooden lighting columns with a steel base were used in the project. The Nicole was chosen as the luminaire with amber, bat-friendly lighting.
This choice of these special materials along the express cycle route fulfils the sustainable ambitions of both municipalities.
Finally, special planting has been chosen for the surroundings of this route. The windmills nearby complete the picture that sustainability in all its aspects is becoming increasingly important.
