Municipality of Putten opts for Mini Victoria fixture in Bijsteren neighbourhood

2 February 2026

The development and construction of the Bijsteren residential area began from 2006. The district now has some 800 homes in various types and designs. It is a lively, green neighbourhood not far from the centre of Putten.

Some of the existing street lighting was recently renewed, particularly along the footpaths and backstreets. The cone luminaires were replaced by Innolumis case luminaires of type Mini Victoria in the colour RAL 9011.

By using the Mini Victoria suitcase luminaire, light nuisance on the adjoining facades of the houses and adjoining plots of the backpaths has been significantly reduced. This compact luminaire was chosen partly for this reason.

In addition, the 32-led variant was chosen instead of the 16-led standard version. More comfort for the residents was the decisive factor in arriving at this choice here.

The luminaires are prepared for a smart future and equipped with so-called Zhaga connectors, allowing intelligence to be added later. A number of luminaires also have additional possibilities to further prevent possible light nuisance on the façades by applying back-light control. The new luminaires are much more energy-efficient than their predecessors and consume only 6 W. The light image looks warm thanks to the chosen colour 3000 Kelvin.

The initiator of this project was the responsible public lighting officer at the municipality of Putten. After being commissioned, the luminaires were assembled entirely in the Netherlands at social development company iederz in the city of Groningen.

With this newly installed street lighting, the municipality of Putten again saves a substantial amount of energy and further saves on maintenance costs because lamp remplacement every 4 years is no longer necessary by using these Innolumis Mini Victoria luminaires with LED technology.
